Vom 30.07.-17.08.2019 fanden auf einem Hügel ca. 1.5km südöstlich von Dedoplistskaro, durch Andreas Furtwängler als Samreklo bezeichnet, unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Paata Bukrashvili, Ilia Universität Tbilisi, und Dr. Simone Arnhold, Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Ausgrabung statt, denen eine Arbeitswoche zur Aufarbeitung und Dokumentation des Fundmaterials folgte. |

Lashetkhevi settlement is located on the left bank of river Kura in Shida Kartli region, 3 km eastern to Uplistsikhe rock-cut town. Site was excavated in 1973 by the Uplistsikhe archaeological expedition (Georgian National Museum) with supervising of Dr. Davit Khakhutaishvili. Excavations did not continue in next years and 1973's results remained unpublished except of one article about Early Bronze Age pottery assemblage from this site. It is the first attempt to publish the results from wider view. |

From the 4th millennium BC in the Caucasus region, the development and distribution of arsenic alloys on a copper basis, as well as jewelry and household items made from arsenic bronze, have been noted. Copper-arsenic alloys are leading in the metallurgical system of the Early Bronze Age of the Caucasus (second half of the 4th millennium - the first half of the 3rd millennium BC). |
