The biography of Cyril of Alexandria has always generated keen interest of many scholars, and the Georgians were no exception. There are several short biographies of Cyril of Alexandria in Georgian, one of which is preserved in Giorgi Atoneli’s “Great Svinaqsari”. The complete biography of Curil of Alexandria (S 417) dating baek to the 12 th century and, to all appearances, translated from the Greek language, can also be found in Georgian manuscripts.
