Unique Wooden Vessel from Tsiva Settlement

In 1945 Colkheti Archaeological Expedition of the Georgian Academy of Sciences(Headed by Nino Khoshtaria) studied the Tsicva Settlement located in the territory of Kulevi village in Khobi District. The unique wooden vessel has been found among the numerous material recovered from this site. The vessel finds a parallel to the wine vessel named as “Kula” known from the Georgian ethnographic life. The found vessel might had been connected to the wine-making and it should be dated by the Late Bronze-Early Iron age.

Napichkhovo and Kurzu - two new discovered castles of the Egrisi kingdom

Two unknown castles were investigated by author during the spring 2010 in Samegrelo region (West Georgia) by the financial support of the British foundation "FaRiG". All of the new discovered monuments appeared to be castles of the 4th-6th centuries.
