Seit 2017 finden archäologische Ausgrabungen in der Wallanlage Nazarlebi statt. Die Erforschung der Anlage verläuft im Rahmen einer Kooperation zwischen dem Laboratorium für visuelle Anthropologie und lokale Geschichte der Staatlichen Ilia-Universität und dem Seminar für Orientalische Archäologie und Kunstgeschichte der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg Das Grabungsprojekt wird von der deutschen Seite finanziert. Hierbei handelt es sich um die Fortsetzung des Forschungsprojekts, welches 2007 an der Staatlichen Ilia-Universität anfing. Am 27.08.2018 hat die zweite Grabungskampagne begonnen. |

Among the bronze tools collected in the Kutaisi State Historical-ethnographycal Museum the flat and bend-pipe axes draw special interest. In accordance with the typological data they are dated by Early Bronze Age. The bend-pipe axes belongs to the Sachkhere type, but flat axes by the typological-morphological signs is more approximated to the artifacts from the early Kurgan culture on the Eastern Georgia territory. |

In the article is discussed the works where are given the history of study of Kolkheti bronze primary and secondary metallurgical production hubs. In particular the mining production monuments located in Kolkheti mountains, the bronze production workshops existing in Kolkheti valley, metal-processing and chemical analysis of copper-bronze artifacts. |
